Back on the South Toe

We try and make it a point to get on the South Toe River at least once a year, usually in the fall. We were excited this past June to make it out early and thought it would be the first trip of many. Somehow the summer came and went and we never found time to get back up to Celo. Today we were excited to go back one last time before the weather turns cold.

I am pretty sure there is nothing better than shorts and a sweatshirt weather.

The day yielded another awesome family photo. I love that Maggie is in a bathing suit and Nora is in a sweater. Those are my girls!

We had so much fun running around today. The girls are growing up so fast and I absolutely love marking the time on this river.

Maggie got another lesson in skipping rocks. Noel had a few killer throws with 15+ skips.

If we keep up this tradition she is going to be a pro one day. As for today... well there were a lot of ker-thunks!

Nora was determined to get in the water even though it was pretty chilly. Noel and I did our best to keep her (mostly) dry, but we may both be sore in the morning. She is a wild woman!

Maggie was a little more tentative with the water, but she was a real trooper and did great once she got used to the water.

After catching butterflies in June with her SunChip Cheddar Harvest flavored fingers, Maggie requested that we have them again for this outing. I could only find a jumbo bag but Maggie was a-ok with that.

Here are a few more family photos. Not to bad for a self timer!

I love this photo of Nora and me. We are just doing our own thing, never mind the camera.

And just for fun, here's a sneak peek for October!
