Trunk or Treat

Today was Valdese FBC's annual Trunk or Treat Party. This is a huge outreach even for our church and a lot of fun. To get ready, I got out our decorations a few days ago and Nora decided she would try everything out to make sure it was ready to go.

 An absolutely adorable little witch:

We had a really busy day today starting with the Rotary Pancake Breakfast (yum), followed by Heather and Kasey's wedding (beautiful), and ending with Trunk or Treat (fun). Thankfully Bruce and Gail were able to come up and watch the girls during the wedding which help a ton. As soon as Noel and I got home from the wedding, which Noel officiated, we had to quickly change into our costumes and head straight to church.

Maggie decided to wear the Ariel costume Ama made her and the Joker hat Nana brought. I think she looks really cute as a little curly head blonde mermaid!

Nora wore the monkey costume we bought for Maggie's first Halloween. We moved to Valdese on November 1st, 2007, so we missed Maggie's first Halloween. We did take a few photos of her dressed up for posterities sake, but the costume didnt get to make a public appearance. I am really glad we got to use this costume again because I think it is super cute.

Since we were so tight on time today, I'd snuck out to the church earlier in the morning to set up our car. That way all we had to do when we arrived was unlock and open the back door. Nora really enjoyed handing out toys. (We went sweet free this year and the kids seemed to love the toys!)

Maggie also took a turn being the hostess with the mostest.

I made her try on the witches hat, but she said she did NOT like being a witch. Still, I absolutely love this photo.
